The No-Handed Blogger

As you know, I'm the one-handed blogger because I have a 7-month old daughter who constantly occupies at least one of my hands, whether I'm holding her or feeding her or playing with her or whatever. This leaves me with one hand to do everything else, including blogging. I usually type one-handed.

If you're wondering why I haven't updated in a few days... Apparently last Monday I got a stress fracture in my right clavicle and sprained my right shoulder from carrying my daughter in her carseat. I didn't go to the doctor until Thursday, it hurt bad enough to go to the minor emergency room. They gave me a prescription to uninflame the bone, and told me to keep my right arm in a sling.

As a mom, I usually need at least 3 arms, and functioning with only 1 is very difficult.

So, for the last few days, my multitasking capabilities have been severely diminished, and I've had to prioritize the use of the left hand. Certain things Like updating this blog were put off. Sorry! =) But I will continue my regular posting in just a few days. The medecine has helped immensely and I feel much better already.

See you all soon! =)

  1. Oh, wow. I'm sorry :(

My nephew broke his collarbone, playing football, and he was in a heck of a lot of pain. And he didn't have a baby to take care of :\

I'm glad you're feeling better, though. Aren't pain killers great? :P

  2. Actually, although I got a prescription for both an anti-inflamatory and Lortab, my insurance decided I didn't need the Lortab and could manage just fine with just the anti-inflamatory! Grrr stupid insurance... haha.

  3. Well, that just stinks :|

    Insurance companies are so stingy...
